Thanks. Worked great for my 2014 Jetta TDI. One of the DRL bulbs burnt out, and instead of replacing it since I don’t care about DRLs, I figured I’d just disable them both. 🙂 I was a bit worried mine would be somehow different since it’s a base model without the automatic lights and only a headlight on and off position, but it was the exact same pin.

Can you tell me what jack point you used and where you have placed your jack stand? It almost looks like you’re using the pinch weld for both, but I can’t tell. On my Jetta, I can’t use the pinch weld for both and it’s not clear to me what other point in that general area that will either support jacking or a jack stand. Thanks.

Sorry I am so late to this review. I like that you used a set of pliers to gently pull the coil packs out. Yes, being gentle is paramount. I foolishly bought the special VW coil pack puller tool and it only works on three of the coil packs. On the other three coil packs, you cannot get the feet of the tool down under the coil pack connector body because the intake manifold blocks the tool.
